In 2006 my colleagues and I had the great pleasure to walk the mountains of Bhutan with the leadership of Tsewang Nidup. With his organization and assistance we were made acquainted with the beauty of the land, the people and culture. We held our breath before the mighty mountains, rivers and forests. We were engulfed at the shrines by spiritual environment, and the kindness of our hosts. Amb. Shmuel E. Moyal (I spent forty years in the foreign service of the state of Israel. I had the honor to represent my state as an ambassador in Australia and the Islands of the South Pacific, Nepal , Azerbaijan and Oman . Served in various assignments in Japan, the Philippines , Burma , U.K. and the United States of America. )
"My journey to Bhutan became the most extraordinary travel experience I have ever had because of Bhutan Expeditions and owner/guide Tshewang Nidup. His attention to detail is extraordinary. His knowledge of his country and of his Buddhist faith is extensive and he was able to convey as much detail as we could handle in impeccable English. My most cherished moments were the evenings spent in our dining tent at the end of the day (on our 2 very well planned treks) discussing philosophy with this unfailingly kind and patient man. You will find no finer guide than Tshewang Nidup and no finer company than Bhutan Expeditions."

I recently spent eight wonderful days in Bhutan with Bhutan Expeditions. I found Bhutan Expeditions to be very professional, courteous and knowledgeable in all aspects of the trip. Sonam Lhendup, who was my guide, was a real pleasure to be with and he accommodated any special requests that I had. Since this was my first trip to Bhutan, I had to rely on Bhutan Expeditions for recommendations in the planning of this trip and appreciate all of their efforts in making this trip so memorable. I would recommend Bhutan Expeditions for anyone who is going to Bhutan. Amb. Ray Mabus, Former Governor, State of Mississippi, Former Ambassador, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
I have traveled widely, had many guides, and, without hesitation, can heartily recommend the services of Tshewang Nidup. His enthusiasm, his knowledge of historical, cultural, and spiritual Bhutan, his unfailing cheerfulness and thoughtfulness, his joy of sharing his country, was a delight. He made our trip the most memorable experience of my lifetime. Lincoln Sharpless Provincetown, MA. USA
With pleasure I recommend Tsewang Nidup as your guide to the Kingdom of Bhutan. In 2003 I spent ten spectacular days on the road from Paro to Bumthang with him and three friends. The car was in great shape and the driver had the necessary expertise for Bhutan’s roads. Tsewang’s English is excellent, and he overflows with knowledge of the customs, culture, and religions of the country. He worked tirelessly to make us comfortable, and, best of all, he is great company. If you have questions, you can contact me atrobert_a_brown2297@sbcglobal.net.
I don't know if I have ever met such a thoughtful person as our guide Tshewang Nidup. And I cannot imagine another place on earth that one would both need and appreciate such care taken, such thoughtfulness, as on top of the world--trekking in the Himalayas in Bhutan, a magical and extraordinary country. I have known Tshewang Nidup since February 1995. Until my departure from Bhutan (end of June 1997) he was my Dzongkha teacher and a very good friend. He arranged excellent trips for me to see the countryside of Bhutan. Whatever tasks he has undertaken, he has always fulfilled them with great success, as he is very devoted to the assignments he has ventured upon and full heartedly works for their accomplishment. He is very easy to communicate with, as his English is excellent and his approach to strangers, including expatriates, is very open and friendly. I know that since he became my teacher, he has become the Dzongkha teacher of many other expatriates, not only for the language itself but also for the culture that is necessarily linked to the learning of a language. Certainly the connection with all the expatriates has given Tshewang Nidup a lot of exposure, and he has shown great interest in and has succeeded in catching other languages and other cultures. Tshewang Nidup is a very reliable, warm hearted person, who always keeps his promises, and does everything possible to fulfill the wishes of his family and friends. I can give him my warmest recommendation and wish him all the best of luck in the future. Lisbeth Romer, Tax advisor to Department of Revenue and customs, Royal government of Bhutan. It is a great pleasure for us to write a letter of recommendation for Mr. Tshewang Nidup. We can attest that we have known Mr. Tshewang Nidup for couple of years now, mainly in his capacity as a Dzongkha teacher. We have been extremely satisfied with his great competence, not only linguistically but also in the field of Bhutanese culture, history and society. His kind, friendly character, pedagogical faculties and his all-round knowledge have impressed us. In fact, we are of the firm opinion that he would be an ideal candidate for taking up any kind of responsible jobs in future. We wish him good luck and success.
